Længe leve Kongen!

 Welcome to our web site.

Welcome to the website of our re-enactment unit, the Slesvigske Infanteriregiment, part of a force known as the "the Danish Auxiliary corps" which, together with three smaller French divisions made up the newly created French XIII army-corps commanded by Marshal Davout in 1813.The Danish Auxiliary corps was under the direct command of Prince Frederick William of Hesse and was approximately 10500 men strong.

Our members portray various troops which were to be found in a Danish line infantry regiment in 1813.

Our unit wishes to include musketeers, jeagers, grenadiers, artillery men, drummers and sapers. For those prefering something more specific and exclusive,we'll be accepting a surgeon(feltskærer),a master medical orderly(sygehussergent) ,and a gunsmith. We also need women and children who would have been present in the garrison. Those wishing to do multiple impressions are welcome.

We will be working together on drill, and putting together the infantry's various kits in a historically correct manner.Several aspects of Danish culture of the period will also be researched such as songs and cooking.

This unit was formed in 2009 by active members of Brigade Napoleon for the sole purpose of promoting the study of the Danish and norweigian military envolment in the Napoleonic wars.

The group also supports Brigade Napoléon and the growth of Napoleonic re-enacting in North America. In this respect, our unit will gladly assist any other group wishing to reenact Danish or Norweigian units of this period.

The unit is open to membership from throughout the United States and Canada.

On this site you will find information about Danish and Norwiegian military history, Danish and norweigian uniform regulations ,our unit roster, equipment, period music, and events the unit will participate in.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
